Vigeo Eiris is recruiting a Specialized Researcher for its Controversy Risk Assessment Team (H/F/X)

Permanent contract / Full time / ASAP / Brussels

Mission:

The Specialized Researcher will produce ESG research in line with our quality standards and processes for a given company portfolio. The analyst will be part of VigeoEiris Controversy Risk Assessment Team, which monitors daily companies’ involvement in ESG related allegations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the team on research activities, collecting and sorting information (qualitative or quantitative) linked to the companies under review
  • Collect and summarize press releases and stakeholders’ reports linked to the companies and sectors under review
  • Customise information tools for collecting articles on issues relating to the research conducted within different sectors (Factiva)
  • Conduct research on the companies implication in ESG related controversies or disputable activities, and analyse and qualify the severity of the cases
  • Participate in VigeoEiris sector and theme monitoring
  • Conduct research and collect information for specific research products

Skills and competencies:

  • Knowledge on corporate social responsibility, SRI
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English (Vigeo Eiris working language)
  • Additional language skills are a +
  • Document research techniques and information organisation
  • Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Customising information research tools (Factiva)
  • Capable of ensuring high quality information collection and synthesis
  • Analytical skills (clarity, relevance, consistency, care)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to find a balance between productivity expectations and quality (time management)
  • Ability to work autonomously, under the supervision and support of a team
  • University Degree – ideally linked to SRI-ESG-Sustainability issues
  • Interest and passion for sustainable development and responsible investment
