Vigeo Eiris supports the new French version of the GRI framework
The GRI announced the finalisation of its new French version of its reporting framework. Vigeo Eiris is part of the 12 partners that supported this project in France.
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is an international initiative that promotes the development of a framework and indicators allowing companies to formalise, follow and report on their social responsibility strategies and approaches as well as their actions in favour of sustainable development.
In the early 2000s, the GRI has launched a first framework aiming at implementing a global standard in terms of consolidation of extra-financial information. Its approach is based on a mechanism of stakeholders’ large consultation. The new standard aims at helping organisations to reinforce the strategic framework of their social responsibility commitments and to describe them in an integrated perspective, while allowing them to highlight their contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Vigeo Eiris (V.E) was acquired by Moody’s Corporation in 2019 and officially became a part of Moody’s ESG Solutions Group in 2020.
